A family business since 1859, we manufacture traditional Welsh "tapestry" bedspreads, smaller Welsh "tapestry" patterns by the metre, tweeds and travelling rugs from the raw wool using machines which are over 50 years old and powered by a vintage water turbine.
See our products being woven on a power loom (Monday - Friday, mid Feb. - mid Dec. except Bank Holidays) and view the water driven turbine which generates electricity to power the machinery.
Visit our shop to purchase items woven on site together with soft furnishings, garments and accessories made up in our fabrics plus bought in woollen knitwear, accessories and sheepskin goods.
Additional machinery in the mill museum such as the carding engine, spinning mules and warping mill can be viewed April - October (Monday - Friday except Bank Holidays).
The Weaver's Garden contains labelled plants which provide fibres, natural dyes, soaps and textile tools.
Rag rug making is demonstrated on a Tuesday and hand spinning is demonstrated on Wednesdays and Thursdays (June - October).
